Visiting Victoria? Legal Cannabis, Delivered to Your Hotel
Cannabis is legal in Canada, and Misty Mountain Cannabis is a government-licensed store in Victoria, BC that delivers same-day to downtown hotels, vacation rentals and short-term stays across the city core — including James Bay, a short walk from the Ogden Point cruise terminal and the Inner Harbour. Order online between 1:30 pm and 9:00 pm (last orders 8:30 pm), seven days a week, and your order typically arrives in about 30 minutes.
This page covers what visitors usually ask: whether you can buy, what ID works, where we deliver, and the rules worth knowing before you order.
Do we deliver to you?
We deliver by e-bike to Esquimalt, Vic West, Gorge-Tillicum, James Bay, Fairfield and downtown Victoria — but boundaries are boundaries. Type your hotel or Airbnb address and you'll know in five seconds.
Can visitors buy cannabis in Victoria?
Yes. Anyone 19 or older with valid government photo ID can buy cannabis from a licensed retailer in British Columbia — you do not need to be a Canadian resident. Canadian legal cannabis is produced by federally licensed growers, lab-tested, and sold in sealed, labelled packaging that states the THC and CBD content.
What ID do you accept?
Government-issued photo ID from any country that shows your name, photo and date of birth: a passport, driver's licence, or national ID card. If you appear under 30, be ready to show a second piece of ID (for example a credit card or other card in your name). We check ID at the door on every delivery — it's the law, and it's the same standard as in the store.
Where do you deliver?
Our delivery area covers downtown Victoria, James Bay (including the streets around the cruise terminal and Fisherman's Wharf), Fairfield and Cook Street Village, Vic West and the Songhees, Gorge-Tillicum, and Esquimalt. Hotels, vacation rentals and Airbnbs inside the zone are fine — the quickest check is to enter the address at checkout; you'll see instantly whether it qualifies.
Delivering to a hotel: enter the hotel's street address and your name at checkout, and our rider will meet you in the lobby or at your room door as the property allows — you'll get a text when they're close. Please be available to show ID in person; by law we can't leave an order at the front desk or with anyone else.

Good to know before you order
- Purchase limit. Legal retailers can sell up to 30 grams of dried cannabis (or the equivalent in other products) per transaction.
- Edibles and drinks are dosed differently in Canada. Packaged edibles and beverages are limited to 10 mg of THC per package. If you're used to products from elsewhere, read the label — and start low.
- Where you can consume. Most hotels and vacation rentals are non-smoking and prohibit smoking or vaping cannabis indoors; check your property's policy. In Victoria, smoking and vaping are not permitted in parks, beaches, playgrounds, on patios or within 7 metres of doorways, and BC prohibits cannabis use in vehicles. Edibles and beverages are the common choice for travellers staying in non-smoking accommodation.
- Don't travel with it. It is illegal to take cannabis across the Canadian border in either direction, including to the US by ferry or plane, and cruise lines prohibit cannabis on board. Buy what you'll use during your stay, and leave any leftovers behind.
- Don't drive. Driving under the influence of cannabis is a criminal offence in Canada.

Questions visitors ask
I'm on a cruise stopping in Victoria — can I order?
Yes, if you're 19+ and can meet the rider somewhere in our delivery zone (James Bay and downtown are closest to Ogden Point). Note that cruise lines don't allow cannabis on board and it can't leave Canada, so anything you buy needs to be used ashore. Check your own ship's schedule and local consumption rules before ordering.Do you deliver to Airbnbs and vacation rentals?
Yes, anywhere inside the delivery zone. Enter the rental's address at checkout. Can I pay in US dollars or cash?
Payment is online only, in Canadian dollars, at checkout. Your card issuer will handle the exchange. We can't accept cash or cards at the door. Will the rider come to my room?
Where the property allows, yes; otherwise we'll meet you in the lobby. Either way you'll need to show photo ID in person, and we can't hand the order to the front desk or anyone else.Is this the legal kind?
Yes. Misty Mountain is a provincially licensed cannabis retailer (BC Cannabis Retail Store licence). Everything we sell comes from federally licensed producers through the BC Liquor Distribution Branch. If a website delivering in Victoria doesn't check ID at the door, it isn't licensed. Can I visit the store instead?
Of course — 1318A Esquimalt Rd, a few minutes from downtown by car or bus, open daily. Delivery is simply the option when you'd rather stay put.
